I also have some interesting updates...your welcome. I also have some interesting updates from C town. Keith parker has been talking about the efficiency of the central streetcar and how CATS will save operating money by converting their 3 busiest bus routes to streetcar. Im hoping this also means he is leaning towards light rail on Independence over brt. According to APTA (however i believe their numbers are wrong) the LYNX has surpassed its 2025 projections of 18,100...LYNX has an average weekday ridership of 18,600 for quarter 1 2008. According to CATS May's average stands at 16,100 which is still incredible.Jay Heikeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11631622302359320296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609536178570975752.post-45219629370538569652008-07-07T16:23:00.000-07:002008-07-07T16:23:00.000-07:00Ah-ha! It has the 8 corridors (red, green, blue and yellow) plus the uptown loop (orange)- the brown is an add on. All of these lines would still be great candidates for rail- even with the south corridor up and running- particularly the souuthern blue line which would have run to Southpark and near Ballyentine and out Providence road. its all very realistic except for the northern routing for the blue line. Its a shame money had to be involved otherwise Charlotte could have exemplified the density ideas you've been talking about latley.

http://infostruct.org/qcsystemmap.pdfJay Heikeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11631622302359320296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609536178570975752.post-33998654671613133862008-07-06T19:24:00.000-07:002008-07-06T19:24:00.000-07:00It was Charlotte but this is a good one too.
