I enjoy my trips on BART to my Grammas house. Especially when Highway 24 is moving slow but I'm moving soooo fast.

Here in the San Gabriel Valley (Pasadena, CA area) we have the Gold Line running down the middle of the 210 Freeway on a former Santa Fe Ry. route. It's great fun to ride the electric trains around 4pm and pass all the freeway traffic, even the Carpool lane.
It used to be policy on the Pennsylvania RR that when a passenger train was along side a road, it had to go faster than traffic. I believe this mostly applied to what is the NEC though. Best advertisement is a train speeding by gridlock.
