Olympics Update! Shalane Flanagan!!!
A bronze for the distance crew already! Shalane Flanagan gets an American Record in the 10K and a bronze medal. This is huuugee!!!! Even bigger when you consider she had food poisoning only a few nights before.

Shalane doesn't know that she has a secret fan club here in rural Northern California. She has been followed by this family since her performance in Eugene, Oregon, just 4 hours north of our home in Yreka, California.
Congratulations, Shalane. What a feat! You have represented the US well in a performance by a dedicated and talented woman.
