Light Rail Kills Babies

This is a pretty old story from 2006, but I'm glad we're past this type of rhetoric.
Americans have not always embraced public transport. “We had people carrying signs saying ‘Light Rail Kills Babies’,” recalls John Inglish, head of the Utah Transit Authority, which has 19 miles of track around Salt Lake City. Proponents were likened to communists, he says.
Well, we're not called baby killers, but we still get called communists.

"Light Rail Kills Babies". Ha ha. Very funny. (Just a bit of sarcasm on my part.) I hope they won't be doing this anymore. This "babykiller" stuff is just used by right wingers to insult liberals. :)

On the other hand, they will still apparently be using poor communist analogies to describe those supporting LRT. I suspect Wendell Cox or Randal O'Toole, or maybe somebody more mainstream like Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, or Glenn Beck, will say I am a communist. I'm not.

Furthermore, I've never heard anybody say that light rail kills babies before. I just didn't know. Very funny. :)

I rather be called a communist/socialist than a conservative.

When I hear Conservative, I think of old cranky white men holding a bible, and a gun.

It's not polite to quote yourself, but in this case I can't help it.

To each automobile according to its needs" is a truth so self-evident that it need not be uttered.
