hey i thought you would like to know a fun fact about the massive defeat of the transit-tax repeal in Charlotte as reported by the observer: only 38,000 voted for the repeal- thats a full 10,000 less than the 48,000 who signed the petition in the first place. go figure.
What gets me is the whole repeal idea was started last fall when the budget revision was increased to 462.7 million; while at the same time I-485's budget was increased to 1.2 billion (from 863 million in 1990- in inflation adjusted $'s) and it's completion date set back to 2016. Yet no one complains about that.

I saw that somewhere. Thought it was interesting and quite telling.
