It is worthy to note that some of these would be considered streetcars while other would be considered light rail vehicles.
There are also some that fall in between these two which I think are more like trams, particularly because they are narrower than LRT, have very low floor boarding, have more doors and are designed for already built up environment where freeway speeds are not necessary.
I'd go with a poll about the most overrated transit project in the US. Being pro-transit means not just plugging the good, but also attacking the bad, the corrupted, and the pointless. (In New York, surprisingly many subway projects are just plain stupid.)
