Governor of Arizona Janet Napolitano decided
not to tax sprawl homebuilders and instead asked them to help raise the sales tax for transportation. First off, homebuilders are the ones that gain the most from new transit and transportation infrastructure, they should pay for it. Second, why are they still building in that desert???

They will continue to build in that desert because of the estimates showing huge population growth going forward. Thankfully, there is interest in the upcoming Light Rail system and even talks of commuter trains moving people from outlying areas. No doubt, this area is known for sprawl but there is finally some progress being made with infill and in-town projects.
I agree Nick that its going to grow, but where are you all going to get water from? I'm excited to see the new line open up though. What are the development counts?
They really should stop development in these areas, or at least require them to not have ANY grass...
